The Japanese word "yabottai" ( 野暮ったい ) often carries a negative connotation, but I've chosen to reinterpret it positively, transforming it into something endearing. While allowing a hint of human touch, I embrace the quirky nuance that draws people in, even if it isn't stylish in the conventional sense. I blend simple yet catchy forms with the atmosphere created by materials and textures, presenting them as a hybrid of functional furniture, such as chairs and cabinets, and artistic objects.
