The renewal design of the KAPITAL Kyoto store is based in a traditional Kyoto machiya that is over 100 years old, blending Native American elements to create the K.K-POPPO STORE.The interior is primarily composed of walls featuring abstracted images of birds such as eagles and hawks, created with plaster and divided into different textures. This brings about a sacred atmosphere, while also evoking a fun and playful air, with the name of the store itself being inspired by "POPPO" (meaning "toy" in Ainu). The pattern on the eaves tiles was crafted with the eagle as a motif, symbolizing a message from the Great Spirit of the Sky, which is believed to bring wisdom. This subtle yet striking design creates a catchy facade.
